New Orleans

once upon a time I lived in New Orleans. I was little, and precious, and had an accent that made me sound like Blanche from the Golden Girls. Well even after we moved back to GA, KY, GA...  we still went and skied with our friends from NOLA.
WELL BILLY AND I ARE GETTING TO GO TOMORROW to NOLA with my family TO SEE OUR FRIENDS!! and EAT:

where the wild things are

The wild things are under our apartment, that's where they are! 2 nights ago, while I was returning the potting soil and dead herbs to the earth, i looked down to see animal haunches sticking out from under my building. {hear: screaming, panic, slamming of window} I'm not really sure what I was most afraid of at the moment, I suppose a movie-like reaction of this creature jumping up and rabidly attacking my face. Billy looked out the window and saw a white face... animal still unknown..

flash forward animal control comes, sets a trap and it catches a little black kitten-- i cry.

TODAY we awoke to a phone cal from animal control asking where the trap went. IT WAS STOLEN! hooray!!! The kitten was freed I assume!! but unfortunately the grey critter living under us, is still there. and our apartment complex is not blacklisted from animal control since someone stole the trap. literally... can they do that? isn't that like saying the police refuse to help you because you inconvenienced them? well maybe not... but if my nightmare comes true and the critter burrows through the floor and into my apartment... words will be had--- or screamed. I'll let you know.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

In order to compensate for the horrible excuse for dinner I have fed my precious, hard working husband the past few nights, I turned to the Pioneer Woman ( who i currently want to grow up and be) for some inspiration.

 I found this amazing recipe for herb roasted chicken served with a side of sauteed onion, yellow squash, mushrooms, and broccoli and a hunk of homemade cheese wheat bread--- this was an awesome dinner!! Luckily for me split chicken breasts are .99/lb this week at Kroger! YUMMY YUMMY this one's a winner!

In a blur of a weekend, Billy and I had our engagement pictures taken... here is the preview.
This is legitimate laugh because Doug is SO FUNNY!! Doug and Amy are wonderful friends from college, and they took our engagent shots... I can not wait to see the rest!

We're Getting Married!!

Engaged now for four months and 25 days, with 314 days to go. We are getting married at the Guntersville State Park in Alabama!! A pretty peacock themed wedding!
